Basketball tryouts

The Tracy Outlawz youth basketball organization will host tryouts for 14-and-under, 15-and-under and 17-and-under boys teams Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., respectively, at the Tracy High School sub-gym.

Tryouts for 11- and 12-and-under boys and 12- and 16-and-under girls will be announced later. Players interested in trying out should arrive half an hour before their tryout times to register. A $10 registration fee is required.

Softball managers meeting

The city of Tracy’s Department of Parks and Community Services will host a managers’ meeting for all those interested in participating in adult softball at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Tracy Sports Complex Meeting Room, 955 Crossroads Drive.

AAU tryouts

West Coast Fusion will host tryouts Feb. 17 at Timber Point Elementary, 40 New Bury Lane, in Discovery Bay. Age divisions 13 and under and 12 and under try out from noon to 2 p.m.; 11 and under and 10 and under from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m.; and 15 and under and 14 and under try out from 4 to 6 p.m. Varsity tryouts will be announced later.

K Baseball Academy travel-ball tryouts

Kevin Saenz will host the K Baseball Academy tryouts at K Baseball Academy, 3402 Mars Way, Ste. 102. Tryouts will be for age divisions 13 and under, 15 and under and 17 and under. Times will be determined later.

Tracy High baseball alumni game

The current edition of the Tracy High varsity baseball team will play a team of Bulldog alumni at 11 a.m. Feb. 17. A donation of $40 is requested. Batting cages open at 9:30 a.m., and a barbecue will follow the game.

Ecuador-Mexico tickets

Tickets for the Mar. 28 match between the Mexican and Ecuadorian national soccer teams at McAfee Coliseum in Oakland went on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. Tickets range from $25 to $75, and can be purchased at tickets.com, the Oakland A’s box office and the Earthquakes South Bay Office at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. West High girls soccer tryouts

The West High girls varsity soccer team will host tryouts from 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the West High soccer fields.

Tryouts should last for two weeks.

The Central Valley Lightning girls 16-and-under fastpitch softball team will host tryouts at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tracy Ballpark. Some positions are available, but pitchers are particularly needed.
