Travis Kruger, a 2006 graduate of West High, has been named to the Big 8 All-Conference second-team infield.

 

Kruger, a freshman at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, started 43 games at third base for the Vikings baseball team. He finished the regular season with a .348 batting average with four home runs, a triple, 12 doubles and 34 RBIs. He had a fielding percentage of .949 with 175 chances.

Diablo Valley finished tied for second in the Big 8 Conference of Northern California community colleges and earned a spot in the California Community College baseball playoffs.
