Missing man turns up in front yard

A woman on the 1900 block of East Grant Line Road called police at 8:41 a.m. Thursday and said that an older man in her front yard appeared to need medical attention. Police called an ambulance for the man, who had been reported missing from the 100 block of Cedar Mountain Drive at 10:49 p.m. Wednesday.

The Tracy Police Department responded to 186 calls for service Thursday. The following is a sample of those calls:

A worker at Denny’s on the 3700 block of North Tracy Boulevard called police at 12:13 a.m. Thursday and said that the staff had just thrown out a man who had “inappropriately touched” a server. The man threatened to wait around outside until the server left work. Police arrived and arrested the man on suspicion of drug possession.

A woman at West Valley Mall on the 3200 block of Naglee Road called police at 12:54 p.m. Thursday and said that someone had broken into her car.

Someone at Corral Hollow and Schulte roads called police at 8:25 a.m. Thursday and said that someone had scrawled graffiti on the nearby soundwall. The person had called the city’s graffiti hotline, but the message mailbox was full.

Arrests

Elizabeth Tennison, 46, of Tracy, and Thornton Lester Cooley, 32, of Tracy, were arrested at 4:27 p.m. on the 700 block of East Sixth Street on suspicion of drug possession. They were booked into county jail.

Victor Rojas-Valenzuela, 24, was arrested at 4:43 p.m. near the 400 block of Emerson Avenue on suspicion of drug possession. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

Harry Robert Saez, 28, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. on the 500 block of Whittier Avenue on suspicion of drug possession. He was booked into county jail.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at 9:42 p.m. in western Tracy on suspicion of domestic violence and child abuse. He was booked into county jail.

The California Highway Patrol called Tracy police at 1:27 p.m. Thursday and said that CHP and San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department deputies had been following a suspicious car on westbound Interstate 205. The CHP said a woman was leaning out the window, apparently in distress, and the man driving kept pulling her back in. The CHP handled the case after an officer stopped the car at MacArthur Drive.

A woman on the 100 block of South Tracy Boulevard called police at 2:34 p.m. Thursday and said that a man had smashed the window of her car and had taken her purse. The man was last seen running south along Tracy Boulevard.

Someone on the 1600 block of Parker Avenue called police at 3:14 p.m. Thursday and said that someone had broken into a storage room. Police took a report.

A person on the 2300 block of North MacArthur Drive called police at 6:02 Thursday p.m. and said that a big rig had just run over a fire hydrant.

A man on the 2200 block of Jenni Lane called police at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and said that his wife was missing. He called back at 9:55 a.m. and said that she had been found at a hotel in Elk Grove.
