He was fatally injured in an automobile accident Saturday evening in Sacramento.
Born in Tracy on May 31, 1975, Mr. Hanson attended Tracy schools and graduated in 1993 from Tracy High School, where he was a member of the Bulldog football and wrestling teams.
Mr. Hanson attended California State University, Sacramento, and had lived 16 years in Sacramento, where he managed several restaurants. For the past year, he was manager of Flywheel Network Web marketing real estate firm while studying to be a licensed real estate agent.
While in Tracy, Mr. Hanson was active in 4-H and from ages 11 to 16 was a Tracy Press carrier, earning numerous Carrier of the Month honors. At Sacramento State, he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Survivors include his parents, Richard “Rick” and Marcia “Liz” Hanson of Tracy; a sister, Angela Muesse, and her husband, Henry, of West Sacramento; and a niece.
His grandparents preceded him in death.
Tuesday’s memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Berverdor Ave. Inurnment for family and close friends will be at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
