A caller reported at 3:59 p.m. that a 7-year-old elementary student had been stabbed in the leg with a penknife near Kavanagh Avenue by a boy who went to a Tracy-area junior high school. The boy was not badly hurt and refused medical attention. But he said that he knew the sister of the boy who stabbed him and that the older boy had threatened to stab him the day before.
The Tracy Police Department responded to 179 calls for service Wednesday. Here is a sample of those calls:
• A caller reported at 1:31 a.m. that a grocery store near the 1400 block of West 11th Street had been robbed. Tracy police later held someone at gunpoint near the area, but that person was not arrested. The caller said the thief would be carrying coins and cash.
• A woman reported at 8:21 a.m. that her boyfriend had jump-started a van near the 300 block of West 10th Street. Fifteen minutes later, the van had been stolen.
• A caller reported at 10:20 a.m. that a 2005 Chevy extended cab pickup had lost a left-rear tire near Lowell Avenue and Corral Hollow Road and the tire was creating a hazard in the road.
• A caller reported at 10:23 a.m. that a prisoner had sent a letter to an elementary school on the 1700 block of West Kavanagh Avenue.
• A caller reported at 4:44 p.m. that a man had been calling his house in central Tracy for several days asking for someone who doesn’t live there. He thinks the caller is harassing him.
• A caller reported at 5:51 p.m. that a woman had shot her on a transit bus going from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton to Wal-Mart in Tracy. The woman, however, was found to not have been shot and no one heard the shot.
• A caller reported at 11:15 p.m. that the smell of marijuana had been wafting through a building near the 200 block of West Grant Line Road. The caller said they could smell marijuana every night at about the same time.
• Tracy police held a 27-year-old man at gunpoint at 1:06 a.m. near the 3800 block of North Tracy Boulevard. The man was driving a grey Chevy Malibu that might have been stolen, but the charge was not confirmed. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

Arrests
• Angelo Colon, 23, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. for possession of heroin. He also allegedly had needles. He was arrested at the Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, 1420 N. Tracy Blvd., and later booked into the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
