Senior center Joseph Peebles scored 23 points and pulled in 17 rebounds for the Dragons, who came into the tournament as the No. 11 seed in the 12-team bracket.
Elliot, the division’s No. 6 seed, led 47-42 heading into the fourth quarter before the Dragons took control.
The Dragons (17-7, 13-1 Mountain Valley League) used steals and free throws to surge ahead of the Eagles (22-6, 8-2 Central California Athletic Alliance) with a seven-point scoring run.
Dragons coach Shaun Wilson said the team put up strong defense and was accurate from the free-throw line. Junior forward Jeff Galloway contributed to the fourth-quarter scoring run with a string of foul shots.
The Dragons face Ripon Christian (22-4, 14-0 Southern League) in the quarterfinals Friday, Feb. 22, in Ripon.
