EDITOR,

From where did the Tracy Press pluck Tuesday’s commentary, “Financial psychics: Heal thyself” By publishing this, the Tracy Press has given voice to a homebuilder intent on convincing buyers it is still a good time to purchase homes.

Would a homebuilder ever describe a scenario that would prevent prospective buyers from signing on the dotted line Of course not.

The column was unabashed, feel-good propaganda written by the president of a large homebuilding company — telling you to ante up and buy a home is in his economic interests.

Common sense should tell you that rising interest rates and 700-plus Tracy homes on the market does not bode well for local real estate. Buyers beware! Now is certainly not the time to get into the real estate market.

William Fraser, Tracy
