Snow could be seen on the crests of the Altamont hills southwest of Tracy just after noon as a cold low-pressure system moved inland, bringing moisture to the Central Valley, the Coastal Range and the Sierras, according to the National Weather Service website.
Rainfall in Tracy was about 0.20 inches as of 5:30 p.m., according to the Tracy Press rain gauge at 145 W. 10th St.
Thunderstorms are possible tonight around Tracy, though the rain is expected to pass by Wednesday, Feb. 20, the weather service website states.
Sunshine is forecast through Friday, Feb. 22, and a slight chance of showers is expected on Saturday, Feb. 23.
High temperatures in Tracy are expected to rise into the mid- to upper 50s for the remainder of the week. Lows are expected to be in the lower 40s.
