Five local basketball teams will go on the road to compete in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs starting Friday, Feb. 15.

West High’s boys (18-9, 5-5 Tri-City Athletic League) are the 18th seed in Division I, but because of the section’s new 15-win rule West has a chance to play into the 16-team bracket.

The Wolf Pack heads to Fairfield on Friday, Feb. 15, to face No. 15 seed Armijo High (14-7, 7-3 Monticello Empire League), which finished the league season in a three-way tie for first place.

Both the Tracy and Kimball girls are in the 16-team Division II bracket and will begin playoffs Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Tracy (16-10, 7-3 San Joaquin Athletic Association) is the No. 12 seed, and heads to Loomis to face Del Oro High (17-10, 7-3 Sierra Foothill League), the No. 5 seed.

Kimball (17-10, 8-6 Valley Oak League) is the No. 15 seed and will face McNair High (24-3, 8-2 Tri-City Athletic League) in Stockton.

The Millennium and Delta Charter boys are both in the 12-team Division V bracket and will begin playoffs Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Delta Charter (16-7, 13-1 Mountain Valley League) is the 11th seed and will play No. 6 seed Elliot Christian (22-5, 8-2 Central California Athletic Alliance) at Tokay High in Lodi.

Millennium (15-12, 5-5 Central California Athletic Alliance) is the No. 12 seed and will face No. 5 seed Woodland Christian (21-5, 10-2 Central Valley California League) in Woodland.

All games begin at 7 p.m.
