Twenty-year-old U.S. Marine Corps Pvt. Steven Mosby, a 2005 Tracy High School graduate, was deployed March 15 to Fallujah, Iraq.

Mosby, a personnel administrator, was previously stationed in Camp Pendleton. His parents are Gordon and Linda Mosby of Tracy, and his sister is Samantha Gilliam of Modesto.



District honors employees

Tracy Unified School District recently named its top employees of the spring term.

Classified employees Kathy LeDoux, who works in high school food services, Laurie Haughland, a Williams Middle School staff member, and Alicia Jara, a Villalovoz Elementary School staff member, earned honors.

Tracy High School teacher Sally Hutsell, Monte Vista Middle School teacher Nellie Baretta, special-education administrator Nancy Hopple and South/West Park School teacher Sandra Perez were also named tops.
