Cassie is a beautiful little calico who was rescued last summer from a small community south of Tracy. She is a little on the shy side, but when she gets comfortable with people, she loves to be held and especially likes to sleep on the bed at night.

Cassie will do best in a quiet home without young children and with cat lovers who will take the time to let her get to know them. She is spayed, has a microchip and is up-to-date on her meds.

• East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Its volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 925-980-3035.
