When teens gather for the city’s fourth annual Teen Legislative Day next week, they’ll learn all about “Election 2008: Who’s Next?”

The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday in a roundtable setting at the City Hall Council Chambers, 333 Civic Center Plaza. It will give Tracy teens the opportunity to share their thoughts on the upcoming national election and the presidential candidates.

Members of the city’s Youth Advisory Commission will lead discussions on the election process, political parties and the Electoral College.

Participants will debate, with “acting” Republican and Democratic candidates for president, a vote, an inauguration and an acceptance speech.

All schools are invited to attend, and some classes will offer extra credit. Snacks will be available.
