The U.S. Achievement Academy has named Tracy’s Daphne J.G. Poerio, 18, a national award winner in agriculture. Winners are chosen for their academic performance, leadership qualities, motivation to learn and other qualities.
Poerio graduated from West High School last May and is a freshman at San Joaquin Delta College. West High agriculture instructor Marlene Hepner nominated Poerio for the national award.
