Present and past member of the Tracy Kiwanis Club gathered at the Elks Lodge on Saturday night to celebrate the service club’s 50th anniversary. Below, Bob Haupt, longtime Kiwanian who was head chef for the evening, serves Irwin and Virginia Lauppe. Over the years, Tracy Kiwanians have carried out a number of community-service programs, including sponsoring middle school students of the month, the Tracy Junior Miss pageant and the Farm-City Football game. The club is a major sponsor of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in all Tracy-area elementary schools and also sponsors a stamp club for patients at the Livermore Veterans Administration convalescent facility.
