Inner Wheel Club

The Tracy Inner Wheel Club will install new officers and kick off a new year Tuesday.

The first meeting of the 2007-08 club year will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hollywood Avenue home of Joan Matthews, incoming president.

Serving with her during the coming year are:

-Bev Montgomery, vice president

-Eleanor Tillotson, secretary

-Noel Parker, treasurer

-Anita Jensen, Dolly Reedy, Elizabeth Bohn, Joanne Souchek, Elaine Tidemann and Janis Rainey, directors

Matthews, who succeeds Rainey as president, said the meeting will focus on plans for club activities during the coming year and efforts to increase membership.

Tracy’s Inner Wheel Club, founded in 1985, was originally composed of wives and widows of Rotarians. In recent years, the club has become independent and has broadened its membership.

New Jerusalem 4-H

New Jerusalem 4-H Club will install its new officers at 7 p.m. Monday at the New Jerusalem Elementary School gym, 31400 S. Koster Road.

Incoming officers are:

-William Fegett, president

-Morgan Foster, vice president

-Larissa Guillen,secretary

-Nicolaus Foster, treasurer

-Clay Fegett, sergeant at arms

-Katy Rogers, Olivia Saenz and Abigail Davis, song/recreation leaders

-Ty Guillen, refreshments chairman

-Taylor Thomsen, reporter/historian

Club enrollment for the 2007-08 academic year will follow the installation ceremony.

Camera club

The Tracy Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Safeway store’s Community Room, 1801 W. 11th St. All interested photographers are welcome. The winner of the monthly photo contest will appear in a future edition of Our Town.

Tracy Democrats

The Tracy Democratic Club will meet Wednesday at El Tapatio Restaurant, 572 W. 11th St. Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m.; meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. The focus of this month’s meeting will be reaching out to young Democrats.

Tracy Art League

Barry Hand will speak at the Tracy Art League’s Thursday meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Tracy Community Center, 950 East St. Hand will discuss his work and show samples of his photography, including pictures of the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. The public is welcome to attend.
