A man fled from police during a traffic stop in the area of Holly Drive and Lowell Avenue on Monday, Feb. 4.

The driver, described as a black man with a shaved head wearing black nylon sweatpants, was driving a blue Dodge Charger west on Lowell Avenue when officers tried to stop him at 10:27 p.m.

He allegedly jumped out of the vehicle and was seen running on Carlton Way, just south of Lowell Avenue.

A K-9 unit from the Modesto police was used in the search.

Officers arrested a female passenger inside the vehicle, but the log did not indicate that charges were filed. Police did not find the man, and called off the search at 11:12 p.m.

The vehicle was towed, and a report is expected.

The log did not indicate why officers tried to pull the man over

Did not know that I lived in a city with people that are filled with pre-judgemental, steortypical attitudes.

I pride myself on being a part of the Tracy community. I praise the city to people who live outside of Tracy.

Let's show some Tracy pride and support.

Fat police officer could not catch the criminal.

Arrested female passenger out of spite, had nothing on her and had to release her at the station house.

Modesto k-9 showed up 45 minutes later. The criminal probably went the liquor store, drank a beer, smoked a blunt, and still had time to drive back to Oakland/Stockton, before the k-9 showed up.

Hahaha crime fighting in this town is a joke. Protect yourselves people! Tracy Pd can't help you at all!

Wow, ChrisRoberts. You sure have issues with men in uniforms. Is this all because the Boy Scouts won't let you be a troop leader on account of you being funny?

Hahaha you seem to have issues with homophobia. Projecting much? It's 2013, you have nothing to be ashamed of.
