The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. in the area of East and 22nd streets.
The driver told police that when the teen began throwing rocks at her vehicle, she turned around and drove at him, allegedly striking the teen.
The boy, who appeared to be uninjured according to witnesses, then got up and started more rocks at the woman’s vehicle. The driver called police, who then arrested her for assault with a deadly weapon, according to the log.
Officers were unable to locate the teen, who witnesses thought was about 18 to 19 years old. The woman said she was scared that the teenager might have been involved in a gang.
Tracy police received 634 calls for service Thursday, Jan. 23, to Sunday, Jan. 27. The following is a sample of those reports.
6:22 p.m.: Police responded to the 1900 block of Knollcrest Lane, where a 10-year-old girl allegedly hit a teenager in the hand with a bat. The girl was allegedly surrounded by a small group of teenaged boys, so she grabbed a bat and hit one of the boys. Officers were unable to locate the teens.
11:03 p.m.: Officers arrested a 53-year-old woman for burglary for allegedly stealing merchandise from the Safeway at 1801 W. 11th St.
2:55 a.m.: A 23-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop on the 500 block of West Clover Road for having two outstanding warrants from Alameda County.
2:02 p.m.: Officers cited and released a 34-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant for a battery charge from an unknown police department. The man was stopped because he was trying to fight customers at Raley’s, 2550 S. Tracy Blvd., as they entered the store.
7:19 p.m.: A homeowner living on the 800 block of Saffron Drive reported returning home to find his front door open and laptop stolen.
12:28 a.m.: A 43-year-old woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Santa Clara County. It was discovered during a traffic stop on the 1100 block of North Tracy Boulevard.
7:09 p.m.: Police arrested a 38-year-old man on one charge of driving under the influence. The man allegedly struck a street light somewhere on Grant Line Road east of MacArthur Drive before driving into a ditch, where officers found him.
2:14 a.m.: Police arrested a 24-year-old man on the 3800 block of North Tracy Boulevard for an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence. The warrant was discovered during a pedestrian stop.
4:41 a.m.: A 33-year-old man was arrested at the Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd., on charges of burglary and receiving stolen property. He allegedly stole from five people who were able to identify their property following the arrest. Three of the victims had property wroth more than $400. The man was taken to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
7:35 a.m.: Officers arrested a 20-year-old man who climbed on the roof of his parents’ house on the 1200 block of Wilson Ave. The man allegedly climbed on the roof after refusing to leave the property. Fire crews responded, and police tried to talk the man down before using two ladders to get him. He was arrested when he descended under his own power after about 30 minutes on the roof. Officers charged him with trespassing.
8:48 a.m.: An employee at Bohn Elementary School, 350 E. Mount Diablo Ave., reported an adult stroked the hair of a first-grade student who was not the person’s child. A school resource officer responded to the school about two hours after the initial report. They left the school at 11:46 a.m.
8:52 a.m.: A student at Stein High School, 650 W. 10th St., was cited for possession of marijuana before officers took the student home and released them to the custody of a parent.
