About 80 people attended the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, which were both at the golf course.
Jonathan, 29, is the son of William and Janet Mendelson of Stockton. He also has a sister, Jo Ann Mendelson, of Los Angeles. Jonathan graduated in 2005 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and is the editor of the Tracy Press, where he has worked since August 2005.
Michelle, 28, is the daughter of Josie Cervantes and Dwight Warthan and his wife, Elena, all of Stockton. Her sister is Jenia Cervantes, also of Stockton. She works for Central Valley Low Income Housing Corp. and is pursuing a master’s degree in social work from California State University, Stanislaus, having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010.
Maid of honor was Tijana Clabaugh, and matron of honor was Bernice Weilburg. Attending as Michelle’s bridesmaids were Shelley Castillo, Kim Norbert, Jenna Pioli, her cousin Genevieve Johnson and Jo Ann, the groom’s sister.
The best man was Manuel Garcia, and groomsmen were Nick Rosenquist, Kyle Landis, Phillip Burks, Eric Schneider and Joey and Danny Flores, the bride’s cousins.
Mike McLellan of Tracy officiated the ceremony.
Jonathan and Michelle spent their honeymoon in the Sierra Nevadas and make their home in Stockton near the University of the Pacific.
