Pixie and Joy, 1-year-old Jack Russell or rat terrier mixes, are looking for a home together in the New Year. The sisters are tightly bonded and get along well with people and other dogs, though they like to chase cats. Pixie is a bit bigger than Joy, but both weigh about 7 pounds. They are playful and also like to curl up together in a friendly lap. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
