Mr. Bryant, who was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Beaumont, Texas, had lived in Tracy nearly 15 years.
Survivors include a son, Ben Modisette, and his wife, Ruby, of Oakland; a daughter, Teresa Zug of Tracy; a brother, Anthony Bryant of Stockton; and one granddaughter.
His wife of 25 years, Joyce Marie Bryant, died June 6.
Parents Asalee and Ernest J. Bryant Sr. also preceded him in death.
The Dec. 28 funeral will begin at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Church, 306 W. Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., and messages for the family can be shared through an online guest book at www.frymemorialchapel.com. Burial will be private in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
