The man, described as being black and in his 40s, has reportedly been known to yell at the vehicles and swing a golf club at them when they drive around him.
He apparently lives on the block. Officers were unable to locate the man when they arrived.
Tracy police received 152 calls for service Tuesday, Dec. 18. The following is a sample of those calls.
6:26 a.m.: Officers arrested a 50-year-old man who allegedly attacked a woman at Green Oaks Mobile Home Park, 2929 N. MacArthur Drive. The victim told police that the man beat her up and then went inside of his trailer and started banging his head against a wall. He was taken to San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp and charged with making terrorist threats. A $150,000 bail was set, according to the jail website.
1:52 p.m.: Police were called when a man at the Round Table Pizza, 2630 N. Tracy Blvd., was seen leaving after drinking a pitcher of beer by himself. The man was seen walking into a nearby grocery store, and the caller was concerned that he might drive a vehicle.
4:06 p.m.: An unnamed contractor reportedly failed to finish concrete work at a business on the 400 block of Pombo Square Drive. The caller allegedly gave the contractor $400 for the work, but they hadn’t been seen since Dec. 1 when paperwork was finalized. Police advised the complainant that it was a civil matter.
5:28 p.m.: Two women were stopped at Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, by loss prevention staff for allegedly trying to steal undisclosed merchandise. One 25-year-old woman was cited for petty theft and released at the scene. The second woman, also 25 years old, was arrested for petty theft and on an outstanding warrant and taken to San Joaquin County Jail.
