Visitation will be observed Tuesday, Dec. 18, for former Tracy resident Ella Jeane Stroud, 92, who died of kidney failure Dec. 5 at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale.

Mrs. Stroud, known as Jeane, was born Feb. 7, 1920, in McKinney, Texas, and moved with her husband to Tracy in 1942. She worked more than 30 years in the H.J. Heinz Co. office.

Survivors include three children, Sandra Evans, and her husband, Vern, of Golden, Colo., Connie Ohlendorf, and her husband, Tom, of Jamestown and Jerry Stroud, and his wife, Kim, of Modesto; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 49 years, Virgil Stroud; nine brothers and sisters; and parents Foster and Amanda Mount.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Stroud’s name may be sent to an animal shelter or rescue center of the donor’s choice.
