Section champion Vacaville Christian (37) had an average time of 23:20.
Millennium junior Anneliese Bradley (21:46) placed fourth among 49 runners. Joining her at the state meet will be team members Priyana Patel (23:45), Serena Cho (23:46), Estefania Torres (23:52), Virginia Xuereb (27:12), Gianna Oliveri (27:59) and Marissa Walten (28:54).
Millennium’s boys were fourth out of eight teams in the Division V varsity boys race. The Falcons had a team score of 111 and an average time of 19:53 on the 5K course. Going to the state meet are section champion Sierra Ridge-Rite of Passage (41) and runner-up Tioga (75).
The top runner for Millennium boys was Donoban Salinas (19:30), who placed 18th out of 67 runners. Daniel Scahill (19:49), Josh Harrison (19:54), Spencer Blackwell (20:02), J.T. Amador (20:09), Jesse Castro (20:19) and Jude Ocampo (21:41) also raced for the Falcon team.
Kimball High junior Francesca Loayza placed 32nd out of 78 runners in the Division II varsity girls race. She ran the 5K course in 20:26, which was 36 seconds shy of qualifying for the state meet.
Tracy High freshman Emily Simons is a section medalist after she finished 19th overall among 45 runners in the Division II freshman-sophomore girls race. She ran the 2-mile course in 14:48. Medals go to the top three teams, and Simons was sixth among the top eight runners not on those teams.
Tracy High sophomore Evan Savage placed 24th out of 52 runners with a time of 12:16 on the 2-mile course in the Division II sophomore boys race.
West High freshman Connor Waters ran the 2-mile course in 13:38 to finish in 36th place out of 51 runners in the Division I freshman boys race.
