Buffalo Wild Wings delayed

Buffalo Wild Wings is under construction at West Valley Mall and is slated to open in early to mid-January, according to mall manager Mike Donaghy.

Work began more than a month ago on the sports bar which is located at the former site of Pier One Imports near Best Buy. It will feature large-screen televisions, beverages and multiple varieties of chicken wings.

“Construction started a little late,” Donaghy said in a telephone interview Thursday, Nov. 15. “It didn’t happen as quickly as we had hoped.”

Officials of the restaurant chain originally planned an October opening, but preparing construction documents took longer than anticipated, Donaghy said.

The restaurant will occupy two-thirds of the building and will have an outdoor patio.

Donaghy said he has a few ideas for the remainder of the building but does not have a tenant locked in.

Beverages and More will open its Tracy store Friday, Nov. 16.

The chain store offers 1,702 wines, 1,645 spirits, 1,417 beers and many other food and drink items, according to spokeswoman Christina Schultz.

On Friday, BevMo’s first 500 customers receive a free gift bag worth about $50.

The 2860 W. Grant Line Road store will be open seven days a week — 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Asian Cajun Crawfish to open

A new restaurant featuring Cajun cooking with an Asian influence will open at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at 95 W. 11th St., Ste. 103.

The eatery will serve a variety of shellfish in mild to spicy sauces, as well as nonseafood items and a kids menu, according to owners Alice Gimenes and Jeremy Magtoto.

The restaurant hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Thanks Denise. I emailed into TP a day or so before the biz buzz story came out. They're my favorite. Something to look forward to other than more dead bodies in our streets.

What's the deal with Elephant Bar occupying the old Chevy's building? Is that not happening?

And I didn't know about BMW. When's that slated to happen?

Mikasa Japanese bistro will also be opening at red maple village near raleys...

It will be the second outpost of the popular lathrop location.

They have very fresh and delishous sushi and terraiki style dishes.

And yes they will be serving alcohol.
