“We’ll come to your home, church, office party, anywhere you want us,” said group director Cecile Henderson. “We’re guaranteed to bring the holiday cheer.”
Dressed in formal attire — boys in tuxedos and girls in long dresses and gloves — the students will perform traditional Christmas carols, a few novelty numbers and a couple of classical songs, Henderson said.
In the past two years, the group has performed for Costco Friends and Family night and at office parties and private homes, Henderson said.
“People love it,” she said. “Very well received.”
Each performance is 10 to 15 minutes long, and patrons can hire a quartet for $60 to the entire choir of 27 students for $125.
Caroling is a way to raise money so the group can pay for a trip to a competition in Los Angeles in the spring, Henderson said. She said the students have competed in the Central Valley for years, and the Los Angeles trip will be their first long-distance competition.
The choir can be booked on a first-come, first-served basis through Dec. 23.
