This orange-and-white kitten was born April 15 and waiting to be adopted, along with her three brothers, Takoda, Kibou and Tobias, and their mother, Sienna. East of Eden volunteers hope to place Poppy in a home with either her mother or one of her brothers for company. The kittens wrestle and play with toys, each other and any other cats in the vicinity. Poppy also enjoys snuggling in a friendly lap.

East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Its volunteers are at Petco, 2888 Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For information, call 815-5186 or view cats’ and dogs’ profiles at www.eoerescue.org.
