Varsity boys
West finished the TCAL season with a 3-7 record, including two wins in dual meets and fifth place at the TCAL championship meet.
The league champion was Tokay, which went undefeated during the league season and won the championship meet with a team score of 41. McNair (56) was second, St. Mary’s (69) third, Edison (102) fourth, West (117) fifth, and Stagg (122) was sixth.
Leading the way for West’s team on Thursday was senior Nick Vik with a 12th-place time of 18:30 on the 5K course, and sophomore Yuyavan Robles, with a 14th-place time of 18:53.
Both were named second-team all-TCAL. Rounding out the West squad were Josh Sale (19:59), Richard Tran (20:25), Jacob Sale (20:46), Barak Nehoran (20:48), Chandler Chen (21:05), and Nathan Banh (24:11).
Varsity girls
West’s varsity girls did not have a full team for the season, and finished in sixth place. Tokay was the league champion, going undefeated in dual meets and with a first-place score of 33 at the championship meet. St. Mary’s (35) was second, McNair (54) third, and Stagg (107) fourth.
West’s leading runner Thursday was junior Elise Green, with a 21st-place time of 25:10 on the 5K course. Also running for West was Natasha Bartolome (28:59), and Alli Weseman (32:47).
The frosh-soph girls team member, freshman Julia Flohr, finished in first-place as an individual and placed second at the TCAL meet on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Stockton Soccer Complex.
