Police chased a car for an unknown reason through Tracy at speeds that varied between 60 mph and 85 mph. at 12:48 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. The driver reportedly refused to stop after an officer tried to pull over the car near 12th Street and Tracy Boulevard. The chase traveled north on Tracy Boulevard and continued on Larch Road, Grant Line Road, MacArthur Drive and Paradise Road. Police terminated the pursuit 10 minutes later when the car went through a fence in a rural part of Tracy eastern.

Tracy police received 185 calls for service Thursday, Oct. 18. The following is a sample of those calls.

4:50 a.m.: A woman told police someone took her son’s 1991 Toyota 4Runner on the 600 block of Centre Court Drive.

6:51 a.m.: Animal control officers were notified about two loud roosters in a backyard on the 1800 block of Holly Drive.

9:39 a.m.: Police arrested two men, ages 21 and 22, on the 2300 block of Bessie Avenue after two men were reported going into a backyard and coming out with two plastic bags. One of the men was found at a local recycling center. Both were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and resisting a police officer. They were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

11:30 a.m.: A virus infected a computer on the 1900 block of Plum Lane, and the woman who reported it said the virus pop-up window took a picture of her son and told her to pay $200 to get it removed off the Internet. Police are investigating.

12:23 p.m.: The theft of copper wiring from a vacant business on the 100 block of Sloan Court was reported.

12:56 p.m.: Police arrested a man, age unknown, at the Townhouse Motel, 607 W. 11th St. The charges were not identified, but the arrest occurred after a caller said a man at the hotel exposed himself to the caller’s wife. The man was booked into county jail.

3:07 p.m.: Police warned six children who were seen playing on a train near Schulte Road and Sycamore Parkway.

3:33 p.m.: Someone reportedly kicked in the back door of Frigard Chiropractic, 404 W. Grant Line Road.

9:01 p.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man following a pedestrian stop near Holly Drive and Portola Way. He was charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

10:35 p.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man following a traffic stop near 11th Street and MacArthur Drive. His charges were not listed, but his car was towed by police after the traffic stop.
