Born July 13, 1932, in Fullerton, Mrs. Chaparro had lived in Tracy for 68 years. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and an active community volunteer.
Survivors include six children, Isabel Fragoso of Stockton and Larry Fragoso, and his wife, Michelle, Porfidio Garcia, Jessica Tova, Robert Chaparro and Betty Guzman, all of Tracy; a sister, Rose Valdespino of Tracy; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Amado Chaparro, who died in 2004; her parents, Jose and Maria Fragoso; and nine siblings.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard’s, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed immediately by a rosary. A guest book can be viewed online at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
