Mr. Kahn was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Kansas and lived in Tracy from 1947 to 1970, attending West Park, Senior Elementary and Tracy High schools. He was a resident of Stockton from 1970 to 2010.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1966 during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Kahn later worked 35 years for the government with the U.S. General Services Administration, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Kahn of Petaluma; three daughters, Lynette Blecha, and her husband, Kedron, of Springfield, Mo., Janice Rice, and her husband, Ken, of San Rafael and Angela Wade Omran of San Francisco; and three grandchildren.
Also surviving are seven siblings, Tom Kahn, and his wife, Terri, Herman Kahn, and his wife, Sue, Esther Kahn and MaryAnn Sims, and her husband, Ray, all of Tracy, Gary Kahn, and his wife, Doreen, of Manteca, Richard Kahn, and his wife, Connie, of Stateline, Nev., and Kenneth Kahn, and his wife, Nancy, of Rocklin; and five half-siblings.
The Oct. 5 memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Presbyterian Church, 900 Douglas Road, in Stockton. Burial was private in the Little Arlington section at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.
