The fair, at the county fairgrounds in Stockton off Airport Way, continues Friday, Sept. 21, through Sunday, Sept. 23 and Sept. 27 to 30. The grounds open at noon each day, and buildings close at 10 p.m., with the midway remaining open until midnight.
Visitors can view winning displays of agriculture, photography and artwork in the exhibit halls while livestock judging and showmanship take place in the outdoor rings.
The midway has a variety of food booths, rides and activities for children and adults.
Horseracing takes place at the grandstand beginning at 1:15 p.m. daily.
Main-stage bands scheduled to appear include tributes to ZZ Top, Santana and Van Halen. A concert lineup can be found on the fair website, www.sanjoaquinfair.com.
Admission is free to this year’s fair, but parking is $10 per vehicle.
