Born Jan. 11, 1945, in Yakima, Wash., Mr. Robertson attended school in Grandview, Wash., and later received an associate degree from Columbia Bain College and a degree as a funeral director and embalmer from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He worked for Hotchkiss Mortuary in Tracy from 1969 to 1979, when he changed careers and began work for Metropolitan Insurance Co. Most recently, Mr. Robertson worked in finance and management for several automobile stores in the Bay Area.
Survivors include a daughter, Janee’ Marie Baker of Stockton; three brothers, Paul Robertson of Tacoma, Wash., Charles Robertson of Lima, Peru, and his twin, Garry Robertson of Renton, Wash.; a sister, Janice Blumfeld of Norfolk, Va.; a beloved friend, Nelson Potter of San Leandro; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ellis and Nellie Robertson; a sister, Joyce Robertson; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Robertson.
Monday’s service will begin at 11 a.m. at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave., in San Leandro. Visitation will be observed from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. Burial will be in Lower Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sunnyside, Wash.
