Services will be Saturday, Sept. 22, for longtime Tracy resident Kay Blanchet, 66, who died Sept. 2 at her home.

Mrs. Blanchet was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Ukiah and moved to Tracy in 1980. She worked 11 years at Deuel Vocational Institution, retiring in 1990. She was a parishioner at Cross Roads Church, was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Blanchet is survived by her children, Amber Mattson of Manteca and Glenda Vandiver and Robin Blanchet, both of Tracy; brother, Russell Chapman of Sacramento; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of six years, Sam Vandiver, who died in 2005; parents, Ken and Dottie Chapman; and brother, John Alexander.

Saturday's services will begin at 1 p.m. in the clubhouse of Green Oaks Mobile Home Park, 2929 N. MacArthur Drive. Interment will be private.
