Five Tracy City Council candidates will face questions from the press and the public Sept. 24.

Incumbent Mayor Pro Tem Michael Maciel will share the stage with challengers Roger Birdsall, Charles Manne, Raymond Morelos and Nancy Young at Kimball High School’s theater in a forum hosted and moderated by the Tracy Press.

The free-to-the-public event begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 24, a Monday, and gives the public a chance to hear the candidates’ plans if they are elected to either of two seats open on the five-person council in the Nov. 6 general election.

All candidates said they looked forward to attending the forum 43 days before Election Day when contacted by the Press.

Vote for Raymond Morelos!!! He knows here Tracy needs to move and what's best for our community knowing that he is born and raised from Tracy.

Just for fun, the TP should invite Jerry our ex congressman.

In a latest email blitz to supporters we are told that his opponent will be spending $68 million dollars to help the local economy.

If you ask me, there is nothing wrong with supporting the local economy, Jerry.
