Today’s Remember When “mystery photo,” above left, shows an award being presented to a Tracy woman in 1957. What was the award, who was the recipient and who made the presentation?

Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo,” bottom left, shows Cathy Hariton (right) chief of the examination branch of the comptroller’s office at Defense Depot Tracy, showing the filing system in the office to Rosalie Amador in February 1973.

Amador was among the part-time employees at the depot who were undergoing training at the Opportunities Industrialization Center.

Hariton is now retired. Identifying her in the photo were Frank Lima, a Tracy High School Class of 1951 classmate, and Dolly Steinkamp, a longtime friend.
