Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Hazel Valley, Ark., Mrs. Abrie worked in the shipyards during World War II and held many jobs during her lifetime. According to relatives, however, she identified with her roles as housewife and homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her daughter, Lisa Paulette Abrie; parents, William Harmon and Charlotta Francis (Anderson) Skelton; and eight siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, Aug. 20, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, followed by burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, 3885 East Ave., in Livermore.

Arrangements were handled by Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., which hosts an online guestbook at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
