Police searched for the car and found one that matched its description on Lankershire Drive. Two men were seen running from the car and jumping fences. Police were unable to get a K-9 unit fast enough to track the men. The incident is under investigation.
Tracy police received 504 calls for service Friday, Aug. 17, through Sunday, Aug. 19. The following is a sampling of those calls.
1:27 a.m.: Three Volunteers in Police Services were asked to assist the California Highway Patrol with traffic control after a car hit a light-pole near Beverly Place and East Street.
8:23 a.m.: A woman asked for extra patrols after she said someone tried to take her husband’s truck ball hitch the previous night on the 1300 block of Whittingham Drive.
9:49 a.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his car on the 1500 block of Vinewood Way.
11:14 a.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man for suspicion of domestic violence in central Tracy. The arrest occurred after a caller reported her live-in boyfriend hit her in the face and pulled her hair.
9:44 p.m.: Police arrested a 40-year-old man for suspicion of domestic violence in central Tracy. The arrest occurred after a woman called to report she was in an argument with her boyfriend. She said her boyfriend took her keys and refused to give them back and slammed her leg and arm in a door several times.
10:17 p.m.: Someone broke into a woman’s house on the 2300 block of Arthur Nate Haugh Drive.
10:26 p.m.: A pickup was stolen from the area of Sixth Street and MacArthur Drive. The caller said the pickup had GPS, and Manteca police recovered it in their city.
11:34 p.m.: A caller reported finding an American flag in a trash bin with a strong smell of gasoline at 780 E. 11th St.
1:12 a.m.: A hospital official reported a man in Sutter Tracy Community Hospital at 1420 N. Tracy Blvd. who had been hit with a beer bottle while walking. The man refused to cooperate with police.
6:56 a.m.: A caller reported a storage bin at Tracy Ball Parks, 2001 Bessie Ave., was broken into, but he wasn’t sure who owned the bin. Police attempted to contact the Tracy Junior Bulldogs youth football team to see if the club owned it.
8:15 a.m.: A caller reported someone keeps vandalizing her car on the 1500 block of West 12th Street. She said someone flattened her tires, pulled the windshield wipers off and broke the antennae. She said she suspected her former boyfriend after receiving text messages that he was going to mess up her car. Police found he had let the air out of her tires, but she didn’t want to prosecute him. She said she would seek a restraining order.
8:50 a.m.: A woman told police her neighbor threw a tree branch at her after he cut it from her tree as it hung into his yard on the 400 block of Heinz Avenue. She said she was upset that he cut her tree and that he was throwing the branches back into her yard. She said one branch was thrown at her and knocked her glasses off. Police advised the neighbors that it was a civil matter.
9:06 a.m.: A woman received a bite when she tried to catch two loose dogs in Yasui Park at 490 Glenbriar Circle. She said she was going to have the bite checked at the clinic and would call when she got back.
9:47 a.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of battery on the 1700 block of Ash Tree Court. The arrest occurred after a caller reported his son was out of control.
10:38 a.m.: A 1994 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen on the 1100 block of Vallerand Road.
12:04 p.m.: A woman called to ask if was OK to kill a goat in a backyard on the 300 block of East Beverly Place. She said the people who did it might have done it to eat the goat.
12:16 p.m.: A bench was vandalized at Icardi Park, 2505 Russell St.
1:37 p.m.: A stereo was reported stolen out of a boat on the 2500 block of Kinsey Way.
4:18 p.m.: Police arrested a 45-year-old man for an outstanding battery warrant on the 3300 block of North Tracy Boulevard. The arrest occurred after a caller reported two men in an argument.
8:04 p.m.: A man called to report someone stole his clothes out of a drier at Tracy Launderette, 2316 East St.
8:30 p.m.: Police arrested a 35-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 200 block of West Emerson Avenue. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man sitting in the front yard of a house.
10:36 p.m.: A caller reported seeing a man pulling on his neighbors’ front door on the 300 block of West 22nd Street. He said the man was seen running into the side yard. Police were unable to locate anyone.
11:27 p.m.: Police arrested someone after a woman called to report her 15-year-old daughter was sick from drinking alcohol at a house without parental supervision on the 100 block of Edgewood Court. She said her other daughter was in the house looking for the teen. An ambulance was called for the girl who was vomiting. Another teenage girl was found unconscious, but breathing. No details were provided on the arrest.
12:54 a.m.: A man and woman seen riding on bikes and looking into parked vehicles in Jim Raymond Park, 1458 Sentinel Drive, were issued a warning and told to leave the area.
7:19 a.m.: An unknown number of people were rummaging through trash bins in the area of Crossroads Drive and Jackson Avenue. The people were gone when police arrived.
9:59 a.m.: Police received a call from the father of a 17-year-old daughter who was concerned that the girl’s boyfriend was posting pictures, allegedly with nudity, on the Internet. The daughter told police she was posting the pictures herself. A report by police is expected to follow.
2:49 p.m.: Police arrested a 43-year-old woman at West High, 1775 W. Lowell Ave., for an unknown outstanding warrant. The woman was at the school trying to locate her daughter, because the woman and her ex-husband are apparently in a custody battle. Police discovered the warrant when they checked the woman’s information following a commotion at the school while she looked for her daughter.
3:40 p.m.: Evidence of squatters was found in an abandoned residence on the 400 block of Essex Court. Neighbors reported seeing two gang members enter the house prior to police arriving. Officers secured two exterior doors and cleared the scene.
5:20 p.m.: A warning was issued to a man who was allegedly panhandling on the 2600 block of South Tracy Boulevard near Chilaberries and Starbucks. The man was allegedly asking for money from people as they waited in the Starbucks drive-thru.
10:31 p.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old during a pedestrian stop on the 300 block of West grant Line Road for an outstanding warrant with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
11:49 p.m.: Police issued a noise warning for a loud party on the 200 block of Cedar Mountain Drive.
