Raymond Joseph Sordello, a longtime farmer in Tracy, died Friday, Aug. 3, at age 89. Visitation will be observed from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed immediately by a vigil and rosary. A funeral Mass will be said at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Contributions in Mr. Sordello’s name may be sent to the church’s building fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.

Elizabeth “Dolly” Couto, 89, a 50-year Tracy resident, died Aug. 2 at her home. Funeral services will begin with recitation of a rosary at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery, on West Schulte Road at Macarthur Drive. Visitation will be observed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Contributions in Mrs. Couto's name may be sent to Tracy Animal Shelter, 370 Arbor Road, Tracy, CA 95376.

Edward Arnaudo, 87, a longtime Tracy-area farmer and member of the Arnaudo farming family, died Sunday, Aug. 5, at his Tracy home. A rosary service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery. The family prefers memorial contributions in Mr. Arnaudo’s name to the St. Bernard’s Church Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Joanne Faye Schmidt, 73, of Tracy, died July 31 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. A celebration of her life will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 25, a Saturday, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1635 Chester Drive, followed by a reception in the church’s Life Center. Burial, in Tracy Cemetery, will be private. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., will handle arrangements.

Agnes Chantri, 98, died July 31 at her Tracy home. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Aug. 17, a Friday, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., and burial will be private. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

David Soto, 67, of Virginia, a Tracy native and 1963 graduate of Tracy High School, died July 28. In lieu of flowers, the Soto family prefers contributions in Mr. Soto’s name to Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
