Tracy police received 196 calls for service Tuesday, July 17. The following is a sampling of those calls.
12:22 a.m.: Police arrested 24-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 200 block of East 10th Street. The arrest occurred after a caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man running to a car and driving away. One of the warrants was for a driving under the influence charge.
6:32 a.m.: A vehicle was reported burglarized on the 1500 block of Hurley Court.
7:07 a.m.: Extra patrols were requested after someone moved the road closure signs near Corral Hollow and Grant Line roads. The caller was concerned that the confusion could cause an accident with all of the construction.
7:51 a.m.: Police issued a warning to two men standing inside a motel on the 600 block of West 11th Street with bags of recyclables. The caller said they might have been harassing customers.
8:36 a.m.: Police arrested a man and a woman for domestic violence in central Tracy. The arrests occurred after a woman called to say a man hit her and then the man called police to say he needed help. Both were booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
11:10 a.m.: A feral cat attacked a woman and bit her on the 2400 block of MacArthur Drive. Animal control set a trap for the vicious stray cat.
11:16 a.m.: A 2004 Dodge Ram pickup parked on the 2500 block of Greystone Drive was allegedly stolen. The owner said the truck was overheating and that he left it there overnight.
11:25 a.m.: A 1996 Honda Accord was reported stolen near Eighth Street and Central Avenue.
1:25 p.m.: A woman reported that three women attempted to enter her house on the 4500 block of Morning Brook Lane. She said one of the women had an affair with her husband and now she was kicking at the front door. Police checked and the caller said it’s an ongoing issue due to her husband’s infidelity. She said she would seek a restraining order.
2:15 p.m.: A 1996 Honda Civic was reported stolen from a driveway on the 1700 block of Treehaven Lane.
2:20 p.m.: A woman was seen inside Raleys at 2550 S. Tracy Blvd. eating food she did not pay for. She told police she planned to pay and did make payment. She was then given a trespassing warning by store management.
3:09 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a man who was reportedly trying to light paper on fire in front of Rite Aid at 1970 W. Grant Line Road.
6:22 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a bird owner on the 2800 block of Jackson Avenue after a caller reported loud parrot squawking.
6:33 p.m.: A caller reported he was in the process of moving when someone broke into his house on the 500 block of Havenwood Court. Police are investigating.
6:38 p.m.: A reckless driver allegedly almost hit the caller and the children she was walking with near Grant Line Road and Lincoln Boulevard. She said the car lost control and spun out after speeding around a corner. Police checked the area, but they were unable to locate the car.
8:50 p.m.: A caller reported hearing a loud explosion and finding a bottle in the street near 12th Street and El Portal Street.
9:35 p.m.: Police were advised of a chase by Alameda County officers of a Toyota believed to be stolen coming into the Tracy area. The car was seen exiting Interstate 205 to Grant Line Road and then back on the interstate towards Mountain House Parkway. The car left the area and it was seen going towards Coco County on Interstate 880.
10:40 p.m.: A woman told Sutter Tracy Community Hospital officials at 1420 N. Tracy Blvd. that she was drugged and raped the night before at an unknown location. Police checked and found the woman was released from county jail at 5 p.m. for a drunken driving arrest that occurred in the morning hours. A courtesy report was made for San Francisco Police.
