Tracy police received 145 calls for service Monday, July 9. The following is a sample of those calls.
2:27 a.m.: A caller reported hearing gunshots on the 2200 block of Martin Road. Police checked the house and found a couple of people hanging a dartboard and no signs of gunfire.
6:55 a.m.: Someone toilet papered a house on the 1300 block of Edmonton Court and wrapped a volleyball net around the owner’s truck. The owner told police the house was toilet papered two nights earlier, and he suspected his daughter’s ex-boyfriend. Police are investigating.
7:01 a.m.: Someone broke into the multipurpose room at Monte Vista Middle School, 751 W. Lowell Ave.
7:42 a.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old man near East Street and Grant Line Road. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man and woman riding bicycles around the area. The caller said the man was yelling at the woman. Charges against the man were not listed.
8:04 a.m.: A group of homeless people with dogs was told to vacate the area behind the restrooms at Lincoln Park, 170 E. Eaton Ave.
10:06 a.m.: A business clerk said someone broke into his business and stole two quads and two pocket bikes from 202 W. Larch Road. He suspected an employee who was fired a week earlier, because the employee still had a key to the business. Police are investigating.
10:14 a.m.: Police received a few online car vandalism reports for vehicles at Millennium High School, 51 E. Beverly Place; Tracy Sports Complex, 955 Crossroads Drive; 2400 block of Spring Creek Court; and the 1800 block of Thelma Loop.
1:58 p.m.: A motorcycle hit a tree on the 1300 block of Claremont Drive, and the driver refused medical treatment.
2:26 p.m.: A woman told police her boyfriend hit her while they were driving near Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road. She said he broke her cell phone and she got out of the car and ran. She said she didn’t know where he went.
3:10 p.m.: Police were called to Tracy Municipal Airport, 5749 S. Tracy Blvd., for an injured dog. The caller said the dog was near the runway and a hazard for planes. He said the dog appeared to have a broken back leg, but when he tried to contain it, the dog ran away.
3:51 p.m.: A man walking around the 100 block of Henry Court drew the suspicion of a woman. She said he drove up in a white pickup and parked it before going up to a few doors. Police found that the man was looking for his son’s house.
9:09 p.m.: A 1992 Honda Accord was reported stolen on the 1500 block of West 12th Street.
10:04 p.m.: A hospital official reported a 54-year-old man at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, 1420 N. Tracy Blvd., told officials he was assaulted at 7-Eleven earlier in the day. The man refused to cooperate with police.
