EDITOR,

Thoughts on the Obamacare decision by the Supreme Court: Chief Justice John Roberts affirmed what we already knew, that Congress has the power to tax.

With 70 percent of America disliking the individual mandate to buy health insurance, this awakes the sleeping giants who voted in 2010 and handed Democrats their historic losses.

The bottom line is that with voters showing no IDs at the voting place, will voter fraud run rampant in the 2012 election in November? Voters, beware.

This could very easily mean some very turbulent and possibly violent times ahead for the November elections.

Voters, beware! Will America become a banana republic? My gut tells me that if President Barack Obama has his way, we will!

Obama has followed the recipe of his mentor, Saul Alinsky (“Rules for Radicals” author), to a tee. To paraphrase: lie, lie and tell more lies — say whatever you need to attain power, and once you attain power, you can do what you want.

Obama argued for two years that Obamacare was not a tax. Now that his law has been ruled constitutional as a tax, Obama happily declares victory.

You cannot tell me as a constitutional attorney he did not plan it this way. This shows Obama to be the biggest liar as a president in the history of our nation.

How very ironic that the Supreme Court also ruled the very same day, in a separate decision, that “to lie” is free speech and is constitutionally OK.

Is he or is he not the most clever deceiver in the history of our country? Ironically, Alinsky wrote in the first pages of his book, “Rules for Radicals,” to not forget “the very first radical,” Lucifer — another great deceiver.

WOW. A politcian lies!! Stop the Presses. A tax or a penalty? Pay your own way? If you don't get health care, you get penalized. If you don't get insurance and go to the emergency room who pays for your bill. My insurance premium does by going up every year. Be responsible for yourself. Democrats voting for their self interest? Republicans do too. Let's do this. Take all the congressmen and senators off of their health plans which are payed for by our tax dollars. Have them pay for themselves. Cut their salaries in half, we'd save a lot of money there. Vote against any perks thay have now. Make them pay their own way. Everyone must share the burden of this mess before us. Anyone who is against the goverment paying for Social Security, Medicare or Medicade must forfeit their rights to these socialist leanings. It time to walk the walk if you want to talk the talk.

shelly13,

Nowhere did I say it is limited, what I'm saying is the issue before us is whether or not to re-elect the POTUS if only to push our liberal agendas.

The economic reasons are certainly not there.

And I have already pointed out flaws in healthcare legislation. We should have been given an option to out.

This will ultimately be disingenuous to our economy.

As B Franklin said, when the [liberals] figure out how to vote themselves money, it will spell the demise of the republic.

The only portion of our economic engine that is turning on all cylinders right now, happens to be the liberal lobby factories.

When you only see America that way, you may begin to believe things are rosy from sea to shining sea. I mean, not you personally.

You have a choice to make and have opted for this novel third party concept. I guess we can respect that at least there is hope if one person can see through it.

I am trying to determine what President Obama lied about. Conservatives make a lot of accusations, but I don't see a lot of proof. The Anti-Christ? Lucifer? Give me a break. There are times when we disagree with a particular point of view, but that doesn't mean that the other person should be vilified! W said there were weapons of mass detruction in Iran. None were found. Does that make him the Anti-Christ? Why can't we let the healthcare legislation see its course for a few years before we look to dismantle it. I don't see any conservative senators or congresspeople refusing the plan they get at taxpayers' expense. Where's their integrity? Just sayin'.

People keep saying it was the last guys fault and he had 8the years. So, do they think we will let this guy have four more years of letting things slide down down down?

What just because one does it, it's ok for someone else?

These liberals who vote only for their agendas are hypocrites.

Sometimes, just for fun I sign up for Jerry's campaign emails. What a real gas.

"These liberals who vote only for their agendas are hypocrites.".....AND the same goes for the conservatives. They both do the same thing!

Let's have some balance here. Take the good from the left and the good from the right and put it together to make....a new party in our white house. THAT is what we need!

I could not agree more with Tim Case and his accurate comments on Obama and Obamacare. This president has lied to Congress, the press, and the American people.

He radical Marxist agenda is driving this country into a socialist like state, the likes in which we have never seen before. If we don't vote him out of office in November, we will end up like some mediocre third world country with a demonic like dictator ruling us with an iron fist. Make no mistake about it....Obama is the anti-Christ!

The biggest liar? That's a laugh. All politicians are liars. He's not the biggest one. How much money have we spent on a war in Iraq? Thanks for the George Bush...the biggest liar.

I am telling all you people out there to look beyond Republicans and Democrats. Look at ALL the people running and choose wisely because neither Obama or Romney are good for this country.

Those who simply want a safety net and think this is a small price to pay have missed the point. We do have a safety net, and a person who is "who is on unemployment and is uninsured" would not have to pay a bill for an emergency room visit because they would be qualified for medi-Cal.

The point is that this monstrosity of an increase in taxes and regulation of the entire medical industry will result in higher medical costs and lower quality. When the government decides to regulate something, that is what inevitably happens. If you disagree, tell me what program the government operates that private enterprise can not do more efficiently.

Another point is that higher taxes on businesses and penalties for not providing health insurance will result in your unemployed daughter having a tougher time finding a job.

If you still disagree, tell me why it wouldn't be simpler and cheaper to simply offer the poor and unemployed a large subsidy toward their health insurance, and pay for it by abolishing medicaid and medi-Cal? This would require people to have some involvement in their own health care choices and costs while providing help to those who need the safety net.

At the same time, allow prescription drugs to be imported to make them cheaper, something that was left out of Obamacare due to a deal with big pharmaceutical companies (campaign contributors and cronies) and enact some real malpractice reform, something doctors say would actually work to lower health care costs. Simple steps that do not grow the government and actually work to lower everyones medical care costs.

My duaghter dosen't qualify for medical. You have to be pregant or have minor children under the age of 5 or be over the age of 65 with no pension. Once your children reach the age of 5 medical drops you from the program and your children then qualify for the healthy families program and leaves the parents uninsured. I know of a family who lives paycheck to paycheck. The kids are grown and gone. Because of preexisting conditions they pay $500. per month and have to pay the first $10,000. before insurance will kick in. This is what the employer provides. Why? because it's cheap for him and it's the cheapest for preexisting conditions. I am one of the lucky ones insurance wise. This whole thing could back fire for someone like me. But we have to start some where and if it ends up costing me more to help my neighbor then so be it.

OBAMA, THANK YOU. I AM RICH COMPARED TO A LOT OF OTHERS, BUT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN NEEDED IN THIS COUNTRY FOR A LONG TIME. GOOD HEALTH CARE IS ABOUT LIFE AND DEATH FOR PEOPLE THAT WORK HARD JUST TO FEED AND HOUSE THEIR FAMILIES. CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS KNEW THIS LAW WAS FOR A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL AMERICANS, NOT JUST THE RICH. SMALL TAX TO PAY FOR A BETTER LIFE.

There was a time when people had the same feelings about medicare, medicaid, and social security. Just a couple of weeks ago my daughter who is on unemployment and is uninsured passed out on a busy street in Tracy because of a blood sugar issue. When she came to she was in the emergency room. A week later she got the ambulance bill for $2000. for 3 mile ride to the hospital. The bill said pay in 30 days or else it will go to collections. really... I support our President in trying to do SOMETHING to help the disadvantaged and the hard working. Someday you nay sayers will find yourself in a situation and will be greatful there is a saftety net for you.

Good point, but I actually did not weigh in on the healthcare issue. My comment was about those voters who will vote for anyone who panders to the liberal agenda.

When it comes to healthcare bills, I just think they should stay out of it, or at least give us the option to put our money in our own savings account.

Sorry to say but the vast mojority of us never put money into savings accounts for long periods of time. They live paycheck to paycheck. That is why our government implemented the social security and medicare programs in the first place. The others who will also receive pensions from their employers are the lucky ones. Alas, they will need to have aditional medical insurance to pick up what medical won't cover.

Cant speak for others, but you could be right about lack of savings. Maybe the vast majority has credit card debt too then. I do not know, but I would like to have the option myself. Just because everbody has debt would not be reason enough for me to rack up credit cards and go into debt. Hope everything worked out.

"Sorry to say but the vast mojority of us never put money into savings accounts for long periods of time. They live paycheck to paycheck."

Oh yea, I know theses people. They are the same ones that continue to have kids they can't afford!!! "Well, lessee...we can't afford to go to the movies or save money so let's get some beer and have sex!" Worried about getting pregnant and how much that will cost in medical bills and support of a newborn? Nawww, someone else will pick up the the bill. After all, we have Odummer in office, right?

How about this...Before anyone gets any handouts for welfare, medicaid, etc., they submit to mandatory sterilization? Oh yea, I can hear the liberals now!!! LMAO!

I've been reading a lot of comments from conservatives blasting Justice Roberts, all I can think is, are you kidding? Roberts did Romney and the republican ticket a favor. The ACA is now officially the largest tax increase in our nations history.

Use it and run with it, don't even talk about the bill itself and why it's a fiasco waiting to happen, just push the tax, tax, tax argument and who's going to get hit the hardest, the middle class the dems always say they are out to help.

There are enough people who vote down the line looking for the liberal agenda and he has all of their agendas in his back pocket.
