I'm all for using best judgement...I've had people give me dirty looks for leaving my dog in the car in decent temps...in the shade...windows open a bit...and in honesty, the car was cooler than outside because I cranked the AC first! Sometimes, people DO have good judgement...but in the weather we're having...NO amount of time is ok...period!
Way to be on the police blotters of late TP...180 calls and we see 5, none of which are the headline? Same thing the other day though the headline was at least covered. Amazing...
So dear readers, this a chance to use your imagination as to what type of pet, the circumstances involving the call to the police, and inevitably, the possible involvement of animal control in this compliant.
Perhaps a dog left in an car, or in a yard without shade and water. I've had to pluck two puppies left without shelter or water from a neighbor's yard for such stupidity.
Please ensure your pet's are taken care of during this heat wave! Adequate shelter and water regardless of what type of animal they are.
Police issued a warning to a dog owner who left his canine inside his car while he was at a pet store.
Have a safe weekend everyone.
