This 10-month-old kitten was born with a defective front leg, but that has never slowed him down. Rescuers described him as the quickest of his litter when chasing toys and said he was affectionate and would make a good companion. Phantom is neutered and current on vaccines. His mother and two littermates are also available for adoption. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324, adopt@animalrescuetracy.org or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
