The Tritons scored 807.5 team points in the six-team Mid-Valley Swim League event. The Ripon Sea Lions took first (1,024.5) while the Sea Dogs of Hughson placed second (999).
Seven of the Tritons’ 19 first-place finishes came from the 6-and-under divisions. Lela Ziller won three individual races, including the girls 25-yard butterfly (22.57) the 25-yard breaststroke (29.12) and the 25-yard freestyle (20.77).
She was also a member of two winning relay teams, which included boys and girls. The 100-yard medley relay team of Katie Morelos, Lela Ziller, Alicia Webb and Daniel Zeller won their event with a time of 2:18.69.
The 100-yard freestyle relay team of Alicia Webb, Daniel Mehlhaff, Daniel Zeller and Lela Ziller also won with a time of 1:39.60.
Also taking first in 6-and-under races were Alicia Webb in the girls 25 backstroke (27.06) and Daniel Zeller in the boys 50 freestyle (56.91).
Liahla Fernandez was the Tritons’ top swimmer in the 7-8 girls division winning the 25 butterfly (20.43) and the 25 backstroke (20.24). Top performance in the 7-8 boys was Cruz Fairfield’s third-place finish in the 25 backstroke (23.59).
Malia Fernandez was the Tritons’ top swimmer in the 9-10 girls with wins in the 100 freestyle (1:06.62, 50); backstroke (34.53); and 50 freestyle (28.87).
The Triton 9-10 girls also won both relays, including the 200 medley relay team of Malia Fernandez, Megan Gee, Sami Lieberg and Emma Ronquillio (2:36.44) and the 200 freestyle relay team of Megan Gee, Sami Lieberg, Emma Ronquillio and Malia Fernandez (2:13.22).
Top performance in the 9-10 boys was Cody Heusel’s third-place finish in the 50 backstroke (50.20).
In the 11-12 girls, Lindsay Price won the 50 breaststroke (37.66) and the 50 freestyle (28.83) and Madesyn Ronquillio won the 100 individual medley (1:14.86).
The Tritons top swimmers in the 13-14 division included Bree Houser, who won the girls 50 breaststroke (36.63) and Alec Fairfield, who placed second in the boys 50 backstroke (31.77) and third in the 50 butterfly (30.26).
Karel Kouda was top swimmer in the 15-16 boys with second place in the 100 butterfly (1:09.55) and Sandra Walther was third in the girls 50 freestyle (27.75).
This weekend the Tritons will host the Oakdale Gators and the Modesto-Stanislaus Sharks on Saturday, June 16, at West High’s Pinkie Phillips Aquatics Center. The meet starts at 8 a.m.
