Services will be Saturday, June 9, for Lee Edwards, 67, of Tracy, a retired Bay Area Rapid Transit engineer. He died Tuesday, June 5, at his home following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Edwards was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Eunice, La., and worked 26 years for BART before retiring in 1996 and moving to Tracy.

He is survived by his son, Johnathan Edwards of San Diego.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Morris Edwards and Alzena Watley; and a sister, Julia Edwards.

A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Visitation and fellowship will be observed from noon to 2 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be private.

Contributions in Mr. Edwards’ name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
