The roster for the 22nd annual High School All-Star Baseball and Softball Classic on Friday, June 15, at University of the Pacific, includes 18 local players.

The annual games benefit the United Way of San Joaquin-Stockton Community Council, the Recreational Sports Club of San Joaquin and the high schools that participate in the weekend activities. They are also one last chance for graduating seniors to challenge rivals in friendly competition.

The baseball game begins at 5:45 p.m. at Klein Family Field on the UOP campus. Four West High players — Jalen Ransome, Rafael Tijero, Johnny Gori and Steven Gonsalves — will play for the South team.

Players on the North team include Millennium’s Drew Carroll and Jose Avila, and Tracy High’s Jake Shull, Matt Loscavio and Tanner Turner.

The softball game begins at 6:15 p.m. at Knoles Field on the campus of UOP.

The South team includes Kimball High seniors Katelyn Bomar, Montanna Bradley and Alexis Lopez; West’s Jill Anastasio, Jessica Anastasio, Julia Ramirez and Miranda Gannon; and Millennium High’s Melissa Vierra and Jaylyn Gutierrez.
