Police were called to a house on the 1100 block of Chaplin Way when a woman drove her vehicle into a single-family home at 11:58 a.m. The driver reportedly struck another car and then hit the home's garage. It appeared one of the garage’s walls were cracked and that a gas meter had been slightly moved, though no gas was leaking, according to reports. Police are investigating the incident.

Tracy police received 209 calls for service Wednesday, June 6. The following is a sample of those calls.

2:56 p.m.: Police are investigating a possible burglary on the 1600 block of Swarthout Court. Someone saw a man break a window to a house and go inside, but there were no details in the dispatch records to indicate a crime was committed.

3:06 p.m.: A horse in a field near MacArthur Drive and Interstate 205 was reportedly malnourished and neglected, but police reported city and county animal control already contacted the owner. The owner reportedly put the animal under a veterinarian’s care.

4:05 p.m.: A caller reported a home burglarized on the 500 block of West Emerson Avenue. The owner said she got home and found the screen off the back window. Police are investigating.

5:35 p.m.: A caller reported children were throwing rocks into her yard behind the Hirsch School playground, 1280 Dove Drive. She said it occurs every time they have basketball practice on the playground. Police advised the children.

7:29 p.m.: A resident on the 3100 block of Ormonde Street thought his Spanish-speaking neighbor threatened him. He said he thought she said a threat based on her facial expressions and noted that there had been vehicle vandalisms in the area. Police talked to the woman, who said she told the original caller to stop putting raw chicken on her property and vandalizing her vehicle.

You know you're a bad driver when...

Your friends would rather walk five miles barefoot on asfault in 110 degree heat than accept a ride from you.

People ask you about “the accident”, and you reply, which one?

You rear end someone at a stop light and then jump out screaming, “Whiplash!!!”

You replace your airbag more often than your oil.

You walk into traffic court and everyone shouts out your name.

You swerve to miss a tree… and it’s your air freshener.
