A man was seen breaking into vehicles at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, at 10:29 a.m. The caller said a citizen confronted the man, which caused him to run off toward the auto mall. Police talked to the citizen, and he said the man was looking into cars near Best Buy, but he never got into any of them.

Tracy police received 165 calls for service Tuesday, June 5. The following is a sample of those calls.

1:13 a.m.: A restaurant clerk reported a customer was causing a commotion about a pie he purchased at Nations, 3549 N. Tracy Blvd. He said the man bought the pie and told employees he didn’t like it after he tasted it.

2:52 a.m.: Someone had opened a man’s garage on the 100 block of Petrig Street. He said he heard his alarm and found the door open, but nothing was missing.

9:40 a.m.: Graffiti was spray-painted on a fence on the 400 block of West 22nd Street.

10:59 a.m.: A car in the parking lot of Comstock Card Room, 125 W. 11th St., was broken into, and the owner said they had video of the incident.

3:26 p.m.: Two men were seen riding dirt bikes near Brighton and Plymouth drives. The caller said they were speeding and doing wheelies up and down the road. Police talked to them about riding on city streets.

6 p.m.: A woman requested extra patrols day and night for someone harassing her near 21st Street and Parker Avenue. She said people drive by her house and beep their horns and also throw things on her roof.

6:01 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a man seen going through garbage cans on the 100 block of West Beverly Place.

6:25 p.m.: A woman said a man returned her lost wallet but without money at Marshall’s, 2481 Naglee Road. Police are investigating.

6:28 p.m.: Police arrested two men, ages 19 and 18, on suspicion of being under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 1900 block of West 11th Street. The arrests occurred after a caller reported two men begging for money.

8:18 p.m.: A caller reported teens were riding in a car with the doors open near Schulte Road and Tracy Boulevard. They were gone before police arrived.

9:13 p.m.: A woman told police she caught two teens running from her car in her driveway on the 1600 block of Parker Avenue. She said she didn’t think anything was missing.

11:09 p.m.: A house was broken into on the 1300 block of Duncan Drive. The owners said they were away and returned to find someone used the hidden key and stole multiple items. Police are investigating.
