Today’s Remember When “mystery photo,” top left, shows a longtime resident of Tracy receiving special birthday greetings in February 1995. Who was the honoree wearing the corsage, what was the occasion, and who were the people in the photo with her?



Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo,” bottom left, shows Army Col. Joe C. Creel, right, receiving the command flag from Lt. Gen. Vincent M. Russo, the director of the Defense Logistics Agency, in July 1988 during change-of-command ceremonies at Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin. Creel, a native of Alabama, commanded the Tracy-based DLA installation while operations of many smaller depots were consolidated into the Tracy and Lathrop sites of the local depot.
