DETAILS: West High’s Wolf Pack Summer Boys Basketball Camp will be divided into three sessions. The varsity session will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day, freshman and junior varsity players will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m., and elementary and middle school players will meet from 3 to 6 p.m.
COST: $65 for varsity and JV players, $75 for elementary and middle school players. There is a $10 discount for all players who sign up before May 11.

DETAILS: Kimball High’s basketball teams will host a clinic to teach upcoming players offensive and defensive basketball skills. Sessions include instruction on shooting, ball handling, defensive positioning, fast breaks, passing and more. Games will be played every day, all campers get T-shirts, and elementary players get camp basketball. The elementary camp is open to boys and girls going into third through eighth grades, and the high school camp is for boys and girls going into ninth through 12th grades. Register in advance or on the day of the camp.
COST: $50 for one session of the elementary camp, $85 for both sessions, and $75 for the high school camp.

Bulldog football skills camp

DETAILS: Tracy High football coaches, past and present Bulldogs football players and local youth football coaches will instruct youth and freshman football players in the fundamentals of the game in this non-contact camp. Campers get a T-shirt, wristband and barbecue.

Charity mud run
WHEN: 7:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16
WHERE: Eagal Lakes Resort, 12 W. Lorenzen Rd.
DETAILS: Recon Run is a 5k boot camp style adventure-obstacle-mud run designed for families, athletes, running groups, police, fire, and teachers. Proceeds will support Modesto Junior College track and field and cross country teams, Military Moms of Tracy and The Semper Fi Fund, which supports injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Organizers expect more than 4,000 participants and 2,000 spectators. Multiple waves of runners will take on the course in 15-minute intervals starting at 8:45. Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. There will also be a free 400-meter obstacle course for kids under 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.
COST: $65, $60 per-person for teams, $55 for military with ID and Eagal Lakes members. There is a $10 per-person discount for those who register before April 15.
